Focus Exercise Video SF: Standing Tall While Supine
This video is one of the focus exercises for the week. Try to repeat it 2-3 times before our next class together.
Standing Tall While Supine is a great Pilates exercise for people with spinal fusions because it facilitates axial elongation and global expansion. It’s also a part of the yoga asanas where it’s known as supta urdhva hastasana. Standing Tall While Supine is done in a neutral spine, neutral pelvis so there’s no modifications needed. This exercise can help people with spinal fusions feel decompression, length, and space throughout the entire torso and spine.
Inspiring health and happiness!
