Online Pilates Classes for People with Scoliosis & Spinal Fusions

Do you ever wonder if it’s possible to take Pilates with a spinal fusion?  Or with scoliosis?  At Wellness In Motion we offer Pilates classes specifically tailored to people with scoliosis spinal fusions, people with scoliosis, and people with other spine conditions.  You will learn individual modifications while also joining a community of folks with a shared experience!

All sessions take place through Zoom. This class is for people with spinal fusions who are continuing students. $135 for the series, including video library. Class size limited to 8.

Online Strength Training for People with Scoliosis and/or Spinal Fusions All Levels

Saturdays 2/24, 3/2, 3/9, 3/23, 3/30
9:15am-9:10am MST (GMT-6). 
$135 for the series, including video library. Class size limited to 8.
All sessions take place through Zoom. This class is for people with scoliosis and/or fusions who are continuing students. This class will start with a Pilates based warmup and then move to strength training and dynamic balance using dumbbells. Please make sure to take a look at the introduction, continuing, and strength training recommended props to help you have a positive experience in class. Online Strength Training for People with Scoliosis & Spinal Fusions Intermediate Series

Wednesdays 2/28, 3/6, 3/13, 3/20, 3/27 
5:15pm-6:15pm MST (GMT-6).
$135 for the series, including video library and a class recording.
Class size limited to 8.
All sessions take place through Zoom. This class is for people with scoliosis and/or a scoliosis spinal fusion who are experienced movers. This class will move at a brisker pace, work towards jumping, use more load, and incorporate dynamic balance. Please make sure to take a look at the introduction, continuing, and strength training recommended props to help you have a positive experience in class. Thanks to an anonymous donor, Samamkaya is able to offer free classes to low-income students! If cost is a barrier to taking online classes with Samamkaya, please email info@samamkayabackcare.com and our studio manager will book you into the class of your choice! (One free class per student.  Please ask about sliding scale after your free class).

$269 for 7-week series, 1 private session, 1-year access to platform.
Class size limited to 8.

Registration provides access to the online course platform.  Please look for your registration confirmation for instructions.  The online course platform offers a pre-recorded video of the entire live class as well as a recording of the discussion portion of class for each week. If you need to miss a class or two, the online materials ensure that you don’t miss out!  In addition, the platform includes videos and pdfs of 2-3 exercises to focus on per week as well as supplemental videos.

This series focuses on moving well and discovering delight in movement while learning about scoliosis and/or spinal fusions at the same time! We will take time to understand scoliosis and spinal fusions, apply that knowledge to our own body, and discover how to modify Pilates for our individual needs and curve patterns.

This series is a great choice for people trying to understand their scoliosis or spinal fusion better, for people who haven’t taken a Pilates series with Jen before, or for people who have been away from class for awhile.
